ADMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Candidates for admission toe the Pre-University Course must be
     
    • Matriculates of Madras or any other Indian University. 
    • Holders of the S.S.L.C. or the Oriental High School leaving or the Anglo-Indian high school having eligible certificates of Tamil Nadu or of any of the states in India, accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent to the Matriculation examination of this university. 
     
  • Candidates for admission to the B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com Degree course must have passed the pre-university examination of this university with appropriate optional or some other equivalent examinations recognized by this University.
     
  • Candidates for admission to the M.A., Degree course must have passed the B.A., or B.Sc., degree examination of his university or some other equivalent examination recognized by the university
     
  • Candidates for admission to the M.Sc degree course must have passed the B.Sc., degree examination of the university or some other equivalent examination recognized by this university.
     
  • Candidates for admission to the M.Com degree course must have passed the B.Com degree examination of the university or some other equivalent examination recognized by the university.

   FEE REGULATIONS

  • Every pupil shall be liable to pay the whole fee for each term/semester during any part of which his name is on the rolls of the college and his attendance registered.
     
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
     
  • The tuition fees shall be paid at term/semester rate before the due date in each term/semester for the degree classes.  Special fees shall be paid along with the fees.  Fees without fine at term/semester rate shall be paid not later than the fifth working day of each term and with fine are term/semester rate before the seventeenth working day of each term /semester.  After the seventeenth working day, fees will be accepted only at installment rate.  In case of payment by installment the first installment shall be paid before the seventeenth working day and the second installment shall be paid  not later than the fortieth working ay.  When fee is paid at installment rate, special fees for each term/semester shall be paid along with the first installment fee.
     
  • The fee for M.A., M.Sc., and M.Com. classes shall be paid at only Semester rate not later than the fifth working day of each semester.
     
  • Foreign students have to pay the fees for the whole year in advance.
     
  • If the tuition fees and  special fees are not paid before the fifth working day, a fine of twenty five paisa will be levied for each working day of default and the payment shall be made within the Seventeenth working day.  If the second installment of fees is not paid before fortieth working  day, names of defaulters will be automatically removed from the rolls.   Absence from the College with or without leave is no ground for exemption from the operation of this rule.
     
  •  If the fee is not paid even on the last day fixed for payment with fines, the names of the defaulters will be struck off the rolls.  The student may be re-admitted, at the discretion of the Principal, on payment of a sum of Rs.3 in addition to the fee and fines due from the student.
     
  • Any student joining the College in the middle of a term shall pay fees due to the College up to that date from the commencement of the year; but such students may, at the discretion of the Principal be allowed credit for what he or she has already paid to the institution which he or she has left.
     
  • All fees shall be remitted at the Pachaiyappa’s College.  I.O.B. Extension Counter between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.  on working days and between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturdays after obtaining the necessary fee Chelan from the College office.
  • Students studying in Post-Matric Courses are eligible for various Central-State Scholarships.
